Does anyone have any problems with driving through deeper snow with their SVT. I want to put the new SVT bumber for the pre 98 on my contour. Since I live in ND I was wondering if there was any problems with cracking, or do you think there would be a problem.
Last winter I encounter some deep snow and I was a little worried.

No problem here..
Keep in mind that the SVT look bumpers for the pre-98 are not made of the same flexible material as the OEM ones.. Good 'cuz they really stay put instead of bending at very small pressure.. but bad 'cuz with a bit too much pressure, or a hard impact it could crack.
All in all I say go for it. The looks are worth it, it doesn't drag in the snow that much anyways...

I've got a video somewhere that shows what a regular SVT does when it hits some nice snow. Migalush, where are you?
As long as it's powder, or semi-slush you should be alright.

We did get stuck in the snow, and the only damage to the bumpers was the lower grill. The lower grills on both of our cars were cracked before we drove around in the snow. The cracks just got bigger, thus a replacement grill was required. But, great fun and great videos!

That's the only difference.. Now I'm not saying it's easy to break! I'm just stating it could happen! That said, I know I wouldn't care and I would jsut toss the car in the snow anyways!

I have run my 99 no drop, once in the snow. I had quite worn kwd NO s, and man that was the scariest drive of my life. I ended up pushing snow with the front end, no damage.
Just FYI
Oh and the 45 pounds in the rear bumper is standard for all contours.
