Very nice, always liked that year. That car didn't used to reside in Salem, did it? It looks very familiar.

Nice smile

My dad had a '70 SS 396.
It was a "sleeper SS". It didn't have the stripes, red w/ a black vinyl top, auto on the tree, and a bench seat.

Is is a real SS?

My Dad still has his White/Black Striped 72' SS he bought in 72.

Even with the floor shift auto it still smokes the tires through 3rd!

Thanks for the compliments. It is certaily a project car. It is a real SS, but there are a few malibu parts on there. The guy I bought it from didn't have some of the original parts with it. mad So, later when I get more money, I will change those out and replace them.

The car is mainly stock, even the original bottom end of the engine. I put on an Edelbrock Preformer RPM Air-gap manifold, matching cam, Holley Street Avenger carb, headers, full flowmaster system, and chrome. The Flowmaster kit was the best money I have ever spent. I will try to get a sound clip and post it. It is awesome. Cops don't like it too much. laugh

In response to Wayne, no it is from Arizona. I bought it at Reno last year at Hot August Nights.

Thanks for the positive comments!!

Here is a pic of my Dad's car. It is a '67 SS 396 with a four speed. That is a monster of a car. It is 99% done. All we need to do to it is drop in the 427 that we got for it. laugh Thinking about a blower...
