How many miles? I heard some terrible things about that engine, when that goes the cars a paper weight.

Nah man...its pretty durable. The rotary design is quite different than piston engines...I don't know much about them, but they are pretty good unless you start running crazy boost. My uncle had a first gen rx and it was awesome and lasted 200k.

'93 and newer RX7s are notorious for needing new motors and turbos. A rebuild every 60k is pretty normal, of both the motor and the turbos. Run more boost and I'm sure that number will go down even more.

Good luck, great car, expensive to maintain. You'll see.
