I have a couple of personal photos of the Seal Beach (California) police car built by Saleen Autosport back in 1989. The photos were taken at the Cruisin' the Queen car show sponsored by Saleen at the Queen Mary in Long Beach back in 1990/91 or thereabouts.

I had originally seen the car on display in the General Tire booth at the 1989 Long Beach CART Grand Prix, along with one of the Saleen SSC Pioneer Electronics cars & an extremely rare Saleen Sport Truck (Ford Ranger) in a one-off blue exterior color.

If I knew how to post personal photos, I'd scan them into my computer & post them here.
Any ideas?

An M5?? Wonder if that one was a Drug bust prize... Don't think the state would gulp up the money for those...

my cousin drives a mustang and the bmw motorcycle for the sc state troopers (one of the last late model mustangs left). Anyways, the M5 wasn't a drug bust car but it does fly! Seen it in action. And to your surprise we also have a new burgandy Corvette with a big wing on it riding for the "vice" squad of the State Troopers. It is insanely fast and is used to street race for about 200 yards and pull behind a it's all blue lights from there on.

IIRC, it was a gift to the state of South Carolina when BMW built their South Carolina plant.

Once again, that is about the lamest thing I think I've ever heard of. Is the guy driving the Vette any less guilty than the unlucky soul he convinced to race? I probably shouldn't take exception to this (in this thread ) but stupid things like that bug me.
