i was wondering how long it took to take the tranny out?? and how hard is it? thinking about doing it myself. never done a fwd but have done about 8 rwds.
98 svt t-red kkm,bassani cat-back, superchip,pulley,B&M,18" konig toxxins w/ 215/35zr18 falkens, stock rims with 215/45 falken azenis for auto-x,limo tint, 3-12" alpine type S's and a A6001 xtant amp,XM radio,alpine cd,xtant a4004,alpine type R 5 1/4 components up front,boston acoustics highs out back, eibachs, kyb gr2's,sub frames,bat high flow y-pipe, street glow underbody (red) new-quaife,grizzley clutch and fidanza flywheel-plans to come nitrous,stut bar

It took two of us 5-6 hours to have it dropped on the floor. If you pick up a haynes ,manual it will also help you out. we didn't have one. I think its a two man job as far as the DIY. Terry said he had one pulled out in 2-1/2 hours. I would also recommend that you have an air compressor. Is your trans about to go mike?

2nd is almost gone and it is starting to wine. time for a quafe and flywheel and clutch

Not wishing to PO anybody but if you have never stripped and rebuilt/repaired an MTX75 dont try!, I work on them 7 days a week its NOT like a std FWD trans......

Terry I think he is talking about just pullling the trans out of the car not rebuilding it. He would need a couple expensive presses and numerous measurement tools to get the job done Right.Correct?

It takes 4 hours to pull the motor and trans from the top. About another 20 minutes to separate out the trans. Here's a quick breakdown-
Pulling the motor and trans- 4 hours Separating the two- 1/2 hour Packing to send to Terry Haines- 1 hour Having him build a bulletproof trans and giving your almost broken bits back at SZ- priceless!!!
Pop it out, send it to Terry definitely worth it.
