I have a 1996 Mercury Mystique GS with the four cylinder Zetec engine and auto trans. I got the car about three weeks ago and I can't find the interior fusebox. The owners manual the dealer gave me is for a 98 Contour so thats not much help.
Also, I wanted to know how I could rewire the factory fog lamps to be able to come on with just the parklights, instead of having to turn on the headlights.
If i remove the daytime driving lamp relay, will this mess up anything in the computer?
Any help in any of these areas would be greatly appreciated.

Before anyone elso jumps down your throat. There is a search button up in the top right on these forums. Search for the foglight mod, you will find everything you need. (always check the search function first) Sorry I can't help you with the fusebox, I am not sure if ours are the same. Welcome to the CEG!!

The fuse box is on the drivers side... above my brake pedal to the left. You'll see it. If you had a clutch it would be right above it.

Word of warning as well on the inside fuse box, there is a black button that faces the rear of the car. Push this button and you will be able to eject bad passengers thru the roof. Kool huh???
Nahhh just kidding. When you push this button, it will release the fuse box and it will swing down. Be careful not to yank on the box is it is very close to some major wiring harnesses. Ease it down and move the harnesses around the box.
I like my 96 Merc GS with the Zetec and MTX!
Have fun Rich
