OP Merlin Member M Joined: May 2000 Posts: 2,631 ks	In the back of the new Muscle Mustang&Fast Ford it has a couple pages on Sho Shop modified SVT Oil Pan. Did not know if any of you have looked or not. Merlin 281hp 324tq Timing 14' FP 36,24lbs,190lph,75Maf,65tb,cobra upper&lower,B303, GT-40 Crate with X al heads, Mac shorties, Off Road H,2chamber Flow's dumped, Tokico 5wys, Hotichkis Ctrl Arms, Alum Drive shaft, 3.73, Sub Frame,Steeda Tri-Ax, 94 Seats Drivers side powered.

They didn't do their math right and the dipstick doesn't go back in the "notch" in the stock piece, so your oil level reading is no good. You'll have to install it, jab the dipstick into the pan a few times to get marks to show you where to cut, remove it and cut the notch bigger, and then reinstall. The only reason I realized this was that I had to drop my oil pan to replace the gasket. Poor design on that point IMO, but otherwise its a nice little piece. Not sure if the item in question is a new oil pan or the same kit as I have. Pulling the oil pan will take a few hours, and you have to do it twice to make the kit I have work. Maybe people can do it quicker than me (I work slow), but the toughest part is doing everything while laying on your back under the car. I posted a how to on changing the oil pan gasket (probably in Problems), so a search will certainly bring out the instructions needed.
