Quality is remembered long after cost is forgotten.

No he's talking about the ones that flip up on the bottom hinge.
I think it could be done but you would been to get a mechanism that pops out to clear the frame, then flipped up. The doors on the Tour are longer at the bottom. The Lamborginies(Sp?) have a notched bottom so they can just flip up.
Like Chris said, "A Crapload, maybe more!"

Yeah, i was thinking about doin that to my tour, but then i got to thinking about it, the rebuilding the framing, the rewiring, the PITA of redoing practically everything.... so i opted not to!

isn't that gonna be really heavy??? Adding hinges and all that crap will weigh a ton. It will also cost a Crap-load (I think that is the technical term)! Why not do a Nitrous cooled, SuperCharged 3.0L???

Suicide doors are hinged at the rear. Doors on the a-pillar (Diablo/Countach/McLaren F1) are generally called scissors-doors. The other thing you'd have to consider is if the a-pillar can readily deal with the weight of the door. You do anything that you throw enough $$$ at, I've seen a Tempo Sport Coupe with suicide doors...

Might want to do a search. There was a small video of a mustang with these doors you speak of a while ago...
