Not for the weak at heart
You'll need a friend to do this: Take out the screws, stick a crowbar or sumpin similar in there, and start turning and pulling at the same time. You need a friend to put a little resistance on the muffler, like pulling the opposite way. Didn't hurt the resonators either, not like it matters since they are sitting on my bookshelf laugh !

May seem a little loud at first, but you'll get used to it and will love it! I drove around for about half a daybefore I took mine out. In combow with a KKM & Mik's Heatshield it is good for about 10 horsies!

I have seen a couple of different shapes of the resonators, here are mine, looked really stupid in there.

Is the Bassani really THAT loud without the resonators?

I have a basically straight exhaust from the cat back. Meaning I have no resonator or any mufflers of any kind-- just welded-in piping where those parts used to go. My car is ungodly, embarrassingly, obnoxiously, loud! (I bought it like that for some reason...) I was looking at the Bassani as a replacement over the Borla for cost and looks, but was going to take out the resonators to get that last bit of performance out of the Duratec. If it's even remotely as loud as my current setup, then I guess I'll have to keep the resonators in... hmmm

The way my car sounds would be awesome if it was in the BTCC or something, but on the street, it's really WAY too much. Especially when it gets over 2500rpm or so...

Hey Eric those resonators look nothing like mine do. Wow they look restrictive. I kept mine in for about a week then took them out. I used to think that the sound was very loud but now I guess I am just to it.

Cheers laugh

I knew it! There are more than 1 type of resonator tips. The other look much better in the car than these do.
