Anyone wanna chime in with their opinion on this hood scoop? How do you guys think it would look on the SVT (or any other Contour)? I'm thinking about being the test subject here, but I want opinions first! They are listed as FOCUS hoodscoops but also as UNIVERSAL ACCESSORY hoodscoops at www.erebunicorp.com. to those of you who saw this query of mine in a reply in another forum, sorry for the double post.

It doesn't look bad on that Focus, but I think it would look bad on a contique. The contique bodies are too rounded for a squarish hoodscoop like that. Just my opinion.
97' 2.5L Contour SE -T-Red Midas exhaust (grr...), Sony CD player, K&N airfilter, Mobil One Synthetic Oil, removed intake resonator, modified MAF, in-fender CAI, painted grill, Platinum tipped NGK's. I'd have to agree, it does look good on the focus but the contours lines are too different. I'm of the mind set that, IF a hood scoop were made for the tour it would need to be a whole new hood. Like it was in the original factory mold. Maybe an add on scoop with some body work to smooth it into the existing hood. It has to flow into the hood and look like a small curvy 'bump' with a hole in the front. I can see it in my head but can't quite describe it. Come to think of it. Take that scoop on the focus and relocate it closer to the filter/MAF area. Then, use fiberglass or whatever to layover that scoop so it blends with the hood lines instead of looking like a shoebox cut in half taped to the hood.

i wouldn't want one centerd over the middle. i heard from friends of mine that the intake would heat up the air as it went to the intake. best thing is to buy two and have a cet up like the Cervini's focus.

I agree that any scoop would have to be functional.
I think the 'Tour would look a little odd with a scoop over the left side of the hood...

No.
But it would look good with twin flush ducts on the front of both sides of the hood.

No: the look of the scoop fits the focus because the focus has sharp, edgy lines.
I think the only way a scoop (or heat vents) would work on a contour is if it reflected the "organic", rounder look of our cars.
