Since the turn signals flash faster if one of the bulbs is burned out, do they flash slower if you add the fender turn signals?

I just added the side markers to my car. (Fender lights) They have no effect on the speed of the flashing what so ever.

I went with the Audi A6 lights and followed the instructions listed under FAQ, Modifications. I just omitted the resistors and diods as I wanted single stage operation only. They work only with the turn signals and not the parking lights.
