looks nice, if that is the spray paint type of coating youll want to cure the header in an oven before installing on car. i painted the headers on my mustang w/o curing and 5 min after fire up all the paint started flaking off and yes i prepped the metal before painting. any way put in oven for i hour at 500 F.

The higher temps are likely what causes the warranty void on the MSDS headers. Even if they are coated with ceramic, a little crack would oxydate thebase metal much faster at higher temps.

Come on guys, MSDS says header wrap will void the warrenty for two reasons:

1) Already jet-hot ceramic coated
2) Header wrap traps in moisture and causes rust (these are mild steel, if the ceramic coating wears off they'll rust pretty damn easily)

I picked up a can of the spray from crutchfield, its starting to flake off now but it looked good in the begining. All I had to do is spray paint it on...
