When I had my truck I had a cell phone stolen out of it twice. The first time they smashed out the drivers side window. Didnt touch my CD's, radar detector, stero, only the cell phone. The second time they smashed out the passanger side window, but once again only took the phone. It pissed me off because the window cost more to replace than the phone did. Needless to say, the phone stays in my pocket now.

Reminds me of the time I had my Kawasaki 550 LTD stolen from my garage. It was parked on the inside against the front bumper of my car. The perp dragged the bike backwards between two cars and laid down sideways cause the garage door wouldn't open all of the way. Of course I reported it stolen and I had an insurance check one week later. I was ready for my Honda 650 Nighthawk upgrade. Well got a call from my landlord next door asking me about the stolen bike. She says there is a bike outside in my driveway. I ran outside in my underwear and there she was! My stolen Kawasaki!!! There was a note on the tank saying that they were sorry for stealing my bike and that they changed the oil, lubed the chain and topped off my battery. It had exactly 100 miles on it.
I had to give the check back frown I did get my 650 anyways. Weird, huh?

There's an other one, happened to a friend's relatives: one day their car was stolen from front of their house.
Three days later the car was back, a letter inside, saying that they're terribly sorry, they just needed a car in emergency, and to show their appreciation there was 2 theatre tickets with the letter.
The night the guy and his wife went to the theater their house was robbed clean from basement to attic.

Clever....

Anyone breaking into my house while I'm not home would be very unhappy to find my dogs there to chew on them...
