Well,

I returned Saturday....overall, the trip was pretty good. We got a lot of problems identified and created plans to resolve them.

My boss and I took a trip to Teotihuacan. Pretty impressive place. I climbed the Pyramid of the sun and as far as they would let me go on the Pyramid of the moon. Both offered some good views. The most interesting part of the trip was on the way home. The Taxi sounded like it had a flat tire, so the driver pulled over. At that point, the engine compartment started steaming. Opened the hood and we had a nice little stream of coolant spraying out of a pin size hole. It stopped after it cooled down a bit. The driver was clueless. He had no idea what to do. I checked the coolant level, which had barely dropped despite the leak. I told him to turn the heat on and drive to the next service station. We didn't quite make it that far. At a toll booth, the steam started again so he pulled over. We refilled his coolant with some water from a Police station nearby. In the mean time, I unwound some electrical tape on another hose and covered the leak and used some zip ties (An officer gave me three out of hand full that he was using to attach his hubcaps) to tighten everything down. At this point, we just wanted to get back to the hotel, but he decided to take a taxi to town to get a replacement part. BTW, his original plan was to jam a screw into the hole in the hose.... I had to tell him no about 7-8 times until I just took it away from him....

Anyway, the car was temporarily fixed, but he didn't trust it and brought us into Catepec which is a fairly bad area of the city. Couldn't find what he needed so we finally were off....Until he needed gas, and put 300 pesos in despite only having 100 pesos....of course, you guessed it, we had to cover the other 200 pesos.

To make a long story longer, it took 4 hours to get back from an area 1 hour outside of town...
