Found this guy's opinion on MSNBC.com and figured I'd take a poll here to see what you people thought.
Here is the article:

The Athlete Vs. Non-athete topic will be fought over till the end of time. I challenge the guy who wrote that article to ride one leg of any bicylce race and see how hard it is.
Just because Lance uses primarily his legs in his sport doesn't make him more or less of an athlete then any other sport.

In my opinion an athlete is anyone who goes out and busts thier ass to be the best that they can be in thier particluar sport or activity. The work up a sweat, train, and do whatever it takes to be the best they can be...even if tey are still not as good as some of the others in the sport.

For Lance's legs to work, his entire body must be in peak condition. Yes, that makes him an athlete.
That guy is retarded..

Ill bet all my money that the guy who wrote the article is a fat lazy azz who just sits and types all day-
I know I cant do the tour de france- I know most professional athletes couldnt also - so what is my point?

I challenge Mr. Bonehead to do the tour de france, and I also challenge Mr. Armstrong to write a critical sports report-

Well all be the judges and see who wins

The guy starts out by asking if Lance Armstrong is a superior athelte to Jordan, Bonds, Rice and Marion Jones? No offense to Marion Jones, but from what I know she is just a runner. So in this guy's point of view if you run around for short periods of time as well as Ms. Jones does you are a great athelte. But if you ride a bicycle for about a month across France you aren't an athelete!? This guy is an ******* .

With the advent of the internet, Its obvious that there are certified MORONS writing columns everywhere,,,Its kind of embarrasing to read some of them,,,Its like scientific proof that there is lack of intelligence out there.

I saw a report on TV the other day recognizing PC gamers as athletes. IMO, Lance is more of an athlete than most of these Multi-million dollar pro football/baseball/hockey/etc. players are.
