not necessarily, depends on the college you attend.
all of my college math courses were FAR easier than my high school math courses.
I took AP/honors level math courses in both high school and college and the college ones didn't even come close to how difficult the high school ones were.

College level math is totally different than high school math. In college you will go through one of those two inch thick high school math books in about 3 months! I learned more in my first semester of calculus than in all high school.

What level math courses are you taking? (business, college, honors or advanced placement (AP)?) If you can, next year take a harder course than what you are now ... oftentimes colleges look at the level of course you're taking rather than your grades. If you were college admissions, would you rather accept a student with an A in business level or with a C in honors?

EDIT: I meant that they do look at your grades, but they weigh the higher level ones more than the lower ones ... for example, getting a 60, even in an AP course, will never be a good thing wink [/b]
I take all of the hardest classes my skool offers. I'm in the "honors magnet" program at my skool. IT is a south georgia public skool though, so it's really nothing compared to some of the stuff in New England.
And I realize college will be harder, I'm not stupid.

I took AP calculus and judging from my roommate's account, the difficulty is about the same, but in high school they spread it out over a whole school year, versus just half in college. AP US History was a different story; I did so much writing for that class, it couldn't possibly have been harder in college..

It sounds to me like you have a good grasp on math and stuff. Apply for engineering; it'll be easier to get in as a freshman than a transfer student. You can always transfer out, just don't wait until the second-third year like I did, heh...

I'd recommend engineering as well, probalby mechanical. You are good at the fundementals, whhether you enjoy it or not, so some of the applied engineering classes that use the fundementals in college is where you'll get a feel for how much you like it. But engineering salaries pay well, are generally regarded highly, and give good experience. Career wise, engineering can be a pretty rewarding choice, but it also makes a great background if you choose to switch to management or consulting or many other manufacturing industry positions.
