I just got started...

By now though, the track is nailed on a board painted green with the underlay on it. It looks great. I'm hopefully going to be building a whole little scene on this board.

If anybody knows of any helpful sights let me know...

This is HO guage...My dad has and always will be an O Gauge fan, but I prefer this size.

I personally am not into that although it is very cool with a nice setup. When I moved into my house the previous owner had the entire basement (roughly 25x20) built out into a HUGE train setup. He had an entire city, a carnival, and many other sites on the whole thing. When he moved out he had to CUT the boards apart. eek He told me it took him 10 years to build the thing. shocked

my dad has an collection of 0 gauge trains that he saved from the 50s and is now set up in a massive train room. he had it appraised in the early 90s and it was worth WAY more than he expected! keep those boxes, they double the value...
