One big frat party with a few kegs and some hot sorority chicks and well..........

I know we all assume our BF/GF would never cheat but c'mon things happen.

Your relationship will work so long as it is based off a need to know basis.

I'm the pessimist, never an optimist

It really depends on how strongly you feel about each other. I know people who have gone out for a very long time before going off to college and they broke up because of the distance. I know other people who are living extremely far away and stay together. If you are having doubts about it now, I would think that it would be pretty difficult. The age difference would normally not be a problem but in this case, you will be experiencing things that she has no idea about and you two will be on different levels.

I was an over the road salesman in July, 1985. I was based in NYC, and I met a lovely RN in Massachusetts, a 3.5 hour drive away

As I was on the road about 40 weeks a year with New England territory, and a large customer base in MA, we started dating and all seemed peachy.

In November, 1985 I was seriously injured in an accident, which forced me to give up my job and recuperate, at home, in NYC.

I was extremely depressed! I didn't think there was any way we could keep this relationship alive, with me busted up, unemployed, and in physical therapy five days a week. And the prognosis was clear that I would not be the same, active 25 year old I was prior. Plus, the beautiful nurse was not as crazy for me as I was for her!

But we kept in touch, she came to NYC a couple of times. When I was well enough to travel, she invited me to meet her folks in NH. (What a train wreck they saw coming in!) There was no e-mail back in the day but we did the best via phone and snailmail.

I got better, found a job, quit that one, found another, quit that and finally got a job in Massachusetts, and moved in 1988.

I've already gone on too long so I'll wrap this up
quick: The beautiful nurse is mother to my beautiful children and on June 2, 2002 we celebrated 12 years of marriage!

We did it, you can too!

(Movie rights to my complete story are available for sale for some SVT body parts) wink

3 hours is an easy obstacle to overcome...but make sure you guys have AIM or it's going to be an expensive phone bill that neither of you want.

I've done the long distance thing many times. It is nice, you get your day to day freedom, but when they end, it kinda makes you wonder what you might have missed in the meantime.

Keep it going, give it a shot, but keep one eye pointed the other direction...don't loose sight of other opportunities. I've learned absence does make the heart grow fonder, but it also makes it easier to drift apart and meet others, keep that in mind.

Best Wishes!! Have fun at school laugh

Give it a shot man, but my opinion is you'll quickly outgrow that 15 year old as soon as you see the fresh college co-eds from OSU. College aint high school, and soon your lives will be totally different...but good luck with that, if its true love then stick with it...but having gone to a large school, I think you're shooting yourself in the foot....

Good Luck making it work, but do not forfeit a good time at college try to have fun there. I will be a sophmore this fall at PSU and i have never had so much fun and met so many people then I did my first year there. If you can keep a healthy balance.

Only if you REALLY love her... i tried the distance thing, me and my gf were at diff. colleges only an hour apart... by the time I broke up with her in January all the hot girls at my school were taken, so the rest of my year sucked. It can be done, but if it doesn't work out, it'll feel like you just wasted a lot of time. But my ex was a dirty, dirty whore... which didn't help a lot...

What the hell-- go for it!!!

I will say this once.. "GO OUT WITH OTHER GIRLS" you do your self and her an injustice unless you KNOW what you want.

I used to drive a escort and thought it was the best car in the world, then I drove a mustange GT, and thought that was the best car, then the Viper ex.. ex.. It was only after I drove all those cars wink that I figured out what I realy wanted and needed.

Just my 2 cents. In any event school is a lot of work and you need to have = amount of fun
