I HATE HATE HATE Cookies. Privacy is out the window online without Cookie control. confused
I just started using a proceedure to control them that's free, no extra program, and easy.
Go to www cookie control org....
Now it takes two fast clicks to kill those unwanted Cookies. :p
Now if I could just find a program that tells me EVERY program running on my computer, what it does and it's path... and could CLOSE it. confused I have a couple of things running that I don't need and just can't find the "off" switch! Even trying to delete them, no... cuz' they are running! Jeesh.
(Prolly' some proceedure to do it in Windows, but I am a n00bie at this)
ADDED: odd, I was not allowed to post the exact site because it contained the html cookie??? what's that all about confused

There's a couple ways to kill programs that you can't seem to find.

Start-->Run...--> msconfig -->Ok
Click on the "Startup" tab. The checked programs are the ones that run upon startup. Uncheck the ones you don't want (which should be everything but anti-virus software). Then click "Ok" and you'll have to restart, etc.

That can be used in conjunction with the following: Start-->Settings-->Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs Then just click on whatever you want gone and it should take it off. This completely removes the programs from the computer.

If you just want to end a program without deleting it and don't want to go through the first procedure, hitting Ctrl/Alt/Delete then selecting the program then "End Task" should end it.

Hope this helps.

I'm afraid Speed Demon has given me the mod bug.
