just heard on the news that the ******* cop was indicted as well as his partner...

morse or whatever his name is was charged with 'assault under color of authority' and his partner charged with filing a false police report.

i hope this doesn't take two trials to give this guy the punishment he deserves....he is obviously wrong in his actions and if anyone notices on the video tape...the kid is unconscious when the cop lifted him off the ground and slammed him on the back of the cruiser...he came to when he hit the deck lid

if u hadn't noticed...next time they show the tape look at the kids legs dangling under him when robocop picks him up

Just like with the Rodney King tape, what you see on CNN may not be the whole story. What I've heard is that the kid, when picked up, didn't use his legs to hold him up. So the cop had to carry him and drop him on the cruiser. And about the officer that punched the kid, I've heard that the kid was grabbing the officer's testicles, so the cop punched him. I'm not saying I believe this, it's just what I've heard. However, I will give the police the benefit of the doubt any day.

I hate how all police officers get a bad rap every time these tapes are released. Would anyone care if the punching cop was black? Or if it were black officers doing this to a white kid? The truth is, the L.A. Riots were so great for media corporations that they're digging for similar stories/events. It's sad, but true.

watch the tape...kids head is also 'hanging to the side' doesn't look very conscious to me....

also....if he did grab the guys non existent nuts...then the kid should be charged with assault...but not beaten...there is nothing far as i know that authorizes a police officer to beat anyone

the partner that was charged is a black officer and he is also the one that was accused of uttering racial slur and telling the kid they had already kicked his dad's ass

believe what u want but people here in l.a. area know what a problem inglewood p.d. is....i hope u arent one that some day gets beaten to a pulp and then have to listen to the excuses the police give to justify cracking your head

DISCLAIMER: I don't know if the nut grabbing is truth or what, I'm just responding to this...

First off, if somebody is grabbing your nuts, your gonna do everything you can to get him off...
And sitting there telling him politely

"Please let go of my nuts, sir?"

I don't think so...Your gonna sit there and do everything you can to get him off your nuts.

Second, a police officer has the right to use force if and when necessary. Again, I saw that this may not have been necessary, but then again, it may have been. It's not up to me to decide, THANK GOODNESS...

Yeah, if someone's grabbing my jewels, especially someone that doesn't really want to see me in the first place, I'm going to do whatever necessary to get them into safety. A polite request for release of the package just wouldn't cut it. A smack in the face would be more likely.

The punk deserved worse. I just saw the tape this morning and he definitely was not cooperating, e.g., he would not stand-up on his own.
How can a black guy (cop) be accused of a racial slur when the criminal (teenager) is black also?
Its just another example of a certain race of people seizing any possible opportunity to fatten their wallets in the name of racism.

EASILY! If I were black, and called a black person a "N", isn't it STILL racial slurs? What I am doesn't change what I called him!

I bet if I called a cop an *******, I would get charged with verbal assault, even if I happened to be one TOO... right? please.. it's easy to get charged with it, especially in this day and age.
