I did some carving of my old fog lamps so my hot new PIAA 510's would be adjustable and hold the adjustment. Just riveted on the back of the PIAA housing. Had to drill a new access hole for the adjustment screw, but it was fairly easy.

1. Slim: Love 'em. Great group buy! laugh Also, need to brace the bumper so they don't vibrate as much. I am thinking of using some aluminum strip to brace the bumber a little (bottom of bumber to cross frame. Will put up a pic when done.

2. Worth it to me. The lights are bright. I live in a dark area and good lights are necessary. The driving lights are bright enough that you wouldn't need headlights (if it was legal). They have a sharply defined beam that, if aimed correctly, won't blind other drivers, but they still light the road up.

FWIW, I've always put auxiliary lights on my cars. I usually buy the $20-$40 dollar sets. The fit, finish, and hardware you get with the PIAA is muuch better. The wires have heavy duty connectors. The wires are run in a white cover/harness. You get relay, LED switch. While I did't use the harness and relay, these are really quality units and worth the money.

The only problem with them is that your headlights seem yellow in comparison. Working on that as we speak. laugh

Did a little more work on the lights.

1. Cut down adjustment spring to allow for a little more adjustment.

2. Bottom of light (Lense) was bearing against bottom of bumper cutout. Dremel to the rescue. Opened up cutout on bottom to allow light to adjust further up. (When the light is adjusted upwards, the bottom of the lamop moves forward and struck the bumber cutout).

3. Bought aluminum strip (1/8" x 3/4" x 36") and made three (about 10" long) strips. One strip on left-fog bottom screw to subframe, one on right-fog and one in center, from existing brace to subframe. Now bumper doesn't bounce as much (I didn't notice any driving, but it bounces a little if you push it by hand) and the lights don't bounce. No pictures yet, but will post them next week, after I take some).

Slim Shady is right. Adjusted right, these lights are better than your headlights. (They were good before I aimed them better, they are GREAT now!
