Anyone use the discount from discounttire and if so how much was the discount. Can someone check for me?

I have been thinking of joining and this discount may put me over the top. I'm sure there will be mostly L's and Cobras but what the heck, right?

My local chapter also charges $25/yr for its membership, anyone have any fun memories from going to a local SVTOA meet?

I remember calling a local contact about the SVTOA. The told me they would call me when they were doing something locally.

I think that was sometime around January.

I haven't heard from them again.

If I call, e-mail, and basically seek your club out, you would think someone might actually take enough interest to invite me to an event locally.

I guess the SVTOA has more members than they know what to do with.

Or they don't have squat to offer in St. Louis

I just checked my PM's and it was December 16th when I contacted them.

The turnaround seems a bit slow.

I just purchased my new Rage 5.0 17x7 wheels and Nitto 225 40 ZR17 tires from Discount Tire .com. The prices were good. If you live close to their warehouses they will let you pick up your wheels and that way you will save more. I think I paid $968 for the set shipped from Ohio to Buffalo (I live north of the border and drove down to pick them up.)

Use the prices I just listed and compare to their website posted prices.

Can you explain in that price if there was tax, mounting, shipping?

No tax charged at all. Tires mounted on the wheels included. Shipping included from Ohio to Buffalo. I would have driven to their warehouse if it was not so far away.
