which would u rather have and which would be more reliable a first gen eclipse/talon awd turbo 5-speed or a second gen 1994+ probe/mx-6 v6 5-speed? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I had a 93 mx-6 v6 and it was the biggest piece of shat in the world. I spent around 4000.00 in repairs in one year.

Not sure about reliability, but I'd take the Talon/Eclipse. Very easy to make those cars very fast.

DSM.
High cost of maintenance, but great bang for the buck. Great aftermarket.

The Probe was 1/2 sec quicker in 1/4 mile and 0-60 times.
The Probe was known to go through head gaskets, starters, and clutches. (at least mine did)
Personally I loved my 89 GT Turbo.
Quick and nimble.

I love my bud-es 93 probe GT!! fast as crap!!

there is no way a stock eclipse can beat him... and he has 100,000 miles on it, and the only thing that went wrong is his clutch, which just now went, and is in the shop being replaced! but he likes to run it hard, and burn out, and all of that crazy stuff to, so...

if you get a Probe GT try and a later model, 96-97. The early ones had SUPER hard springs and it caused alot of rattles. I liked my Probe GT alot. It was fun and I think the GT still holds it style after all these years. Plus if you put some bigger wheels on them, they can look great..

I don't know anything about talons but I hear they have some problems..

good luck on whatever you do
