I'm not one to usually step into something or somewhere I don't belong, but I'm thinking a bit of elevator music, a back rub, perhaps a coke and a smile would go a long ways in calming some nerves here. It's just a suggestion on my part, and the above comment was one to induce humor, not a Gestapo-like inquiry on my motives in posting it...

Please also note I didn't direct my comments to any one particular individual. Interpret what you like, though.

Trust me, if I wanted to insult or get downright rude with anyone here, I could do so in a number of ways (and in another language) without resorting to crudeness or ham-fistedness that would get Lance or any of the other moderators on my backside...

Some might guess, but a female service manager said this:

I had my front brake pads replaced and the rotors machined about a month ago. Well afterwards there was a screech that sounded like the pad was rubbing without the brakes applied. I took it back there and had them listen for it and three guys couldn't hear it. I can hear this over the exhaust, so it wasn't like I was hallucinating. I just discovered that its my rear left pad that is rubbing. But I found it odd that none of those guys could hear it.

We should have an entire forum dedicated to Ford service stories.

Here you go: "Ford made a Contour?" or some fighting words: "Isn't this one of those new Tempos?"

1) Sorry the hood got bent... Thought it had springs up there, not a rod holding that hood up.
2) We didn't wreck your side skirts!!!
3)Your MTX is overheating?, We just put in new fluid! And those extra hoses giving us so much trouble, we clipped em' off and just ran the in and out together, no more leaks!
