My b/f just bought a 2002 WRX. We have been together for 4 1/2 years now and engaged for one. We haven't even thought about a wedding or even getting a house. I am ready to start thinking about that, and now that he bought this car, it pushes these plans even farther down the road. I don't want to be a ***** to him and ruin how he feels about his new car. I just want to know if he is planning a future with me. It seems he's not. Why would he buy me a ring and propose without ever wanting to talk about it? I am doubting any future with him because of the way he acts as if he doesn't care. Am I right for feeling this way?

That reminds me of...well, me and my girlfriend. She wants to get engaged and married. As a note, she wants this to happen yesterday. I just want a fast car. We've been going out for about 3.5 yrs. Its not like I don't care about her, I'm just not ready to be married right now.

The problem in the original story was that the car came after the relationship chronologically. If the guy had the car first, then the g/f wouldn't have as much to complain about. Since it came after, and considering they were engaged, the guy should have discussed it with is fiance first. I'm not taking sides. This is just the logical thing to do. I guess I'll consider myself one of the lucky guys. I'm getting married this summer just so I get to drive the Mrs. car. It's way more fun than even the SVT .
