As many of you know, I have posted from the commode several times in the past using a wireless network and one of these:

Recently I convinced my boss that a 15 gig drive just was not big enough for my needs, so i got a 40 gig 9.5mm drive (largest available) and a 256MB ram chip.

My reasoning? Well, i have to develop software for the 3 semi-current MS OS's (98,2K,and XP) as well as Linux in the near future. So I did a little partitioning and currently have 98, 2K and XP in a triple boot, with some Redhat 7.3 CD's standing by for when I finish a couple projects. I'm seriously considering dumping the lame gateway desktop i'm using for development and just setting up this:

with an external monitor attached. I usually b*tch about work, but we've got some killer stuff going on besides this. Our stuff is supposedly going to be on the ABC morning show in the next month or so, not bad for about 10 employees...

In any case, I'm on a bit of a high right now, so I thought I'd share...

Get a few feet of Velco and stick that in your car to make a b|tchin' MP3 and DVD player!

Those things are just going to get smaller and smaller.

To tell you the truth, i think those are a bit too small. 640x480 is such a PITA to work with, not too mention old fogies wont even be able to read the screen. Very cool idea though, it will certainly have its niche

With technology like that, the famed prototypes for a "wearable PC" may be thrown off of the drawing boards!
