My friend works in the plant that built our seats...I sit in his handywork daily, and so do all of you! I'll ask him if he knows any problems with doing this...he works graveyard, so it may be a day or two before I know anything.

Most front seats have the seat cushion offset relative to the mounting feet to get around the transmission tunnel. This would effectively place the driver's seat well out into the passenger's door if swapped to the passenger side.

But that's just my take on it. A tape measure would do wonders to answer your question.

if you take a good, hard look at the bolsters, or take a tape measure to them, you will probably see that one side is wider than the other. This is definitely true of the SVT seats, and most likely true of the SEs as well. This is true for many makes and models at this point. It's an attempt to keep you lined up with the steering wheel and pedals

i swapped my cloth for some leather ones out of a 96 SE. it was no problem to do just a few bolts. as for the seatbelts, just take off the plastic cover on the side and you will see the bolt that holds it on. not too hard. took me a hour or so to do the whole thing front and back. have any specific queations PM me.....
