I raced a new altima yesterday. Not impressed at all. Granted it was the smaller 2.5L but still it should have been able to keep up with me. Perhaps the guy just ddnt know how to drive but I thought the thing would be faster. We both turned left through an intersection and due to the fact that he was a total TOOL and made me wait an entire light because he ddnt want to get out into the intersection on a green light I decided to pass him. He hammers it as soon as I start to make the pass. I am past him through second gear. I leave it in third and just keep slowing and speeding up to stay next to him. Just to mess with him of course. It did sound and look like he was really trying but who knows. The guy was a dork and needed to be boxed in behind the slow moving honda that we came up to. I left him there until traffic caught up with us and then I took off. Disappointed in the Altima. Side note: this was all with my AC on max and I was still able to let off the gas to keep him in the race.

Now let me get this straight. You are believing that because you smoked one 4-banger with an automatic, that it means you can smoke a V-6, 5 speed? Things that make you go hmmmm.

I also raced a 2.5 on the highway and it was not too much trouble. I dont know if it was auto or stick but it was a guy in his mid 20's.
For sure a 3.5 would pull an SVT on the highway unless the SVT has some mods. I think a 3L Contour would be a good match.

"Take it to the track."
I already did with my slower SVT Contour. Heck I can probably beat all but a few of you at an autocross with my oversized family car!!!
If I were a modding kind of guy, who do you think is gonna win the mod war. A Ford 3 liter, or Nissan 3.5 shared by multiple performance platforms!
