In following with what Chris Wong has done by adding traction control to his SVT, I thought I was take a look at a fellow DFW/CEG'er's car and see what I could find. Well, funny enough, look what we found! Ordering a switch soon to see what happens. That white thing the plug is on is a blank spacer. I'd be willing to bet there are more people out there that have the capability of having traction control that don't even know it. Pop that little blank space off and see if there is a plug behind it. We'll know soon enough if adding a switch and/or a light bulb to the guage cluster will do it.

Chris
The way to absolutely confirm the TC is to see whether the TC lights on the dash on start up. Here is another way. The TC is always enabled and the switch disables it. If you have no switch, the system is always on. If you try to light up the front wheels and they slip under acceleration, the TC light will turn flash on and off indicating that it is operation during that circumstance, and of course the motor will bog and stumble as the TC is operating. Good luck, it would be interesting if there are more SVT's with TC.
BTW, the TC light in my SVT was already there and working from day one.

Yeah I have the switch on mine.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

Yep, the plug is also on mine. Keep us updated. This maybe an option I would like to do, especially if all you have to do is add a switch...

That is strange! I just ran out to the car and checked after reading this, I have the wiring, but no traction control light comes on. Would this be in the gauge cluster where the check engine and airbag light are? Does that mean my car is not traction control "capable"?

Not having TC on my SVT was a selling point in my mind, like only coming equipped with MTX. I don't have a light, and I can assure you that if I want to break the wheels loose I can; no engine bog or anything.

How much does the switch cost to order from Ford? Has anyone figured out if it works yet?
