You should watch that Brullen video I posted the other day. 2.5" mendral bent stainless steel piping with straight through mufflers. Sounds good and actually works good for a quasi-dual (at least compared to my old all crushed up stock exhaust pipe).

P.S. I'll be at the meet tomorrow, show up and see it in person.

Derek, from what the many systems I have heard, as of late, the Magnaflow mufflers seem to give the sound qualities that you mention, deep and throaty and won't sound like a 3.1l Cavalier Z24 (early 90's) as some of the exhaust systems may produce. It's all a matter of personal taste and that cannot be taken away from the end user. Nothing wrong with the other systems either.

If you want a cardoc system w/ mandrel bends just pick up a JC Whitney catalog...sheesh they're cheap as ****!! and aluminized to boot. Any inner Diameter you want, 90deg, 45deg, flex pipes even, you could fab you whole exhaust from that Catalog, just don't buy thier mufflers they're crappy.

Trying to find the exhaust system I want is like banging my head against the table smile

I think I am overdoing my homework on exhaust systems for my car smile

Not sure if they are still easy to get, but the Borla I had worked well for me. It had a nice low pitch idle, and a decent snarl on throttle. Might be worth looking into.

But then, if you weld enough pieces together, you will have enough inner lips or welds to negate the whole mandrel bent advantage... laugh

BTW, I did reproduce the Cardoc system at a local shop, and it cost me 375$ total. So you can do the math yourself...

Oh, and I love mine, even with the crush bends wink

I used flanges on the pipe joints and then just dremmeled down the lips of the flanges joints.
