I have GERD. Not fun let me tell you. It has gotten better over the last couple years. But when I get a flare up, it sucks. I get pain down my arms, up into my neck, my chest hurts like hell, and even my hands and fingers hurt. I was on prescription meds for it, but my body got immune to it so it didn't work as well. So I stopped taking it. Now when I get a flare up, I just chew some Tums. It helps a little, but it still sucks. Definately go to the doctor and get checked out asap. You never know what it could be. Just thought this info might help you out.

Go lick your lower intake manifold. That will give you the "really bad taste" then you can go to the hospital. There, they can give you some really powerful stuff that pretty much gets rid of most of the stomach acid and help your duodenum (sp?) close better.
Good luck on that. The damage caused by GERD is very bad, and painful. Check out those "purple pills".

I have had a problem with my sternum (the bone between your rib cage) causing me extreme discomfort and pain at times...It will continue for hours and sometimes even days until one time when I lean back and stretch it pops and stops hurting...haven't been to the doctor cause I don't think there is much that they can do...Hopefully your problem isn't serious. Best of luck to ya.

its okay guys, i checked in with him on AIM  he had an away message up, "Shoprite till 11, sleeping at Mer's, back to Shoprite at 10. I hate being broke" and that was 7 hours ago, so obviously he's stickin around and truckin. no worries

For those with GERD I know of a company that designed a procedure and all tools which virtually eliminates GERD. This procedure is FDA approved and they have been doing this for only a few years so it is relatively unknown. It is called the Stretta procedure. Check http://www.curonmedical.com/ for more info.
