I'm flying to AZ in august to buy my friend's '77 280Z. It has a custom fiberglass front and rear end. Car is primered right now, but I'm going to to paint it Forrest green before I drive it home.
Current mods: CAI, big bore TB, rebuilt head, crane fireball coil & ignition system, Weber side-draft carbs, header, 2.5 in exhaust, poly bushings, short-throw shifter, and high performance oil pump.
He says it runs high 13's right now, but I'm hoping to improve on that with a NOS system. Anyone have any experience with old Z's? Not sure what type of NOS system to run on an inline six. Seems like direct injection would be the way to go, but I'm not sure.
I have seen the car before, and my brother has ridden in and raced him before. He has a neon R/T, with lots of mods, but he said the Z walks away from him at any speed.
I'm giving him 1200 for the car. Sound fair?
Should have pics soon...today or tommorow.

Sweet ride. Looking forward to the pix.

My bro's current project is a 3L V6 into a 240Z.
