Nathan,
Unfortunately for you, me, and Paul, we aer OBD1. The OBD2 I could find immediately and we could find out. I'm in the process of trying to find a resonably priced OBD1. No luck so far. I have a buddy who used to work for a dealer I'll call him and see if he knows what it might be. I've been trying to get my car hooked up to a computer for a while without paying the dealer charge. If you come up with a solution or a problem please let me know. I'm stumped at the moment. Soon as I talk to my buddy I'll let you know!

Nathan,
I talked to Jacobe and he said to check your battery connections, starter connections, and your altenator connections.

No problem. If and when you come back get in touch with us and we'll go out again. It will be better when it gets warmer.

I personally think popping the clutch is BAD!!! Especially on frontdrivers. I've known of certain engines that had been destroyed doing that. But hey you gotta do what you gotta do!

doing it again. the damn thing dies every now and then, usually when accelerating from a stop. It only does every now and then which makes it hard to find the problem. I was told by my mechanic that a cod scanner would not do anything because at no point has the CEL come on. He seems to think it is electrical, almost liuke a relay switch or something but I dont know how to start looking. Once it dies, it either starts back up immediately, or starts after you wait about 2 minutes. It dies twice todayt when I was making U turns at uofl. I am about ready to put the damn thing up for sale. I drove a 98 SVT yesterday (nice) but dont knw if I want another first model year car since the one I have has given me all types of ****.
things I have fixed on my car sine purchased 8-00
Transmission went out at 64K 2600$
Intake manifold leaking vacuum pressure 500$
battery cables failed/tow (cluster ****)300$
Failed emmisions testing, new O2 sensor, and cat converter/labor 500$
New timing belt, pulley kit, drive belt/tensioner/tow 4 days labor @50$/hr 900$
Now this ??????? what may this cost?

With the money I have in this thing getting it fixed, not to mention all the stuff I have put on it, (mods) I think I could be driving a really damn nice car right now.

Oh well thats life, no one said it was going to be easy.

Later guys.. Nathan

Keep those idea about how to fix this thing before I unload it coming.

Nathan,
Who did your cables and what kind are they? That would be my first area to search. The simplest and cheapest maybe. As far as the machine it could help even thought it isn't throwing codes. you just have to know what you are looking at.

Thank you, thank you. That is what it is. I was thinking it was some expensive electrical malady. I went out, started it up, and moved the + cables around and the car died, then i did it again, it died, then again, guess what it died. I have never been so happy about my car dying before. I guess when I get off work I will make a trip down to auto zone and pick up some stuff to clean al that up and have it running good for the weekend. By the way, what is everyone doing this weekend?
