I figured we would use the counter weight that came with the flywheel, and if that wasn't an option, use the one from my black car. What do you think??

Well, the whole assembly needs to be taken into consideration. Are the rotors the same weight as the Series 5 13B? We need to talk to an expert before we throw it together.

It would make sense to me for it to be engine sensitive as opposed to flywheel sensitive. As in the engine is more likely to be unbalanced than the flywheel thus requiring a counterweight but then again I'm not as much of a rotor-head as you guys are

I don't see why they wouldn't and if they don't write them a letter (It's not like we are in a hurry here!!!)

Their website says to call about the flywheels weights. Give them a call. The guys on the RXTech board say we can't do it. I still don't see why we can't. Call Mazdatrix! It's an 89NA flywheel. Ask them what counter weight we'd need.

Where is Mazdatrix?? If they are on the west coast then you can wait until like 9 pm here time and call them for really free otherwise you can use the phone whenever you need. No problem.

Alright, the guys on the first gen boards said that the rotors, flywheel and front and rear counter weights are balanced as a whole. So they said that the 89 copunter weight wouldn't work. The '85 won't work because the rotors were heavier that year. It seems the best bet is to use the 89 FW with the stock counter weight since it is already balanced to the front counter weight and the rotors. Still won't be perfect, but its as close as we can get till I have money for light weight FW and good clutch. frown
