Thanks for the compliment. (I think you're complimenting me :p ) I don't recall anyone using plexiglass, and I thought it would make for a perty shield, so I gave it a shot. It will look better with the black rubber hosing around the edges as well. Also, it gets hot in the engine bay, but the plexiglass should hold up to the heat (i.e. I don't think I have to worry about it melting)

It was a compliment. Let me know how it holds up. I will probably get my intake right when things cool off so I am hoping I won't need a heat shield right away. If you know what I mean.

I'll be sure to let you know if it detonates or ignites BTW, the CTA intake for the zetec looks very nice. What does DDavis's intake look like? I think that one goes into the fender which would eliminate the need for a heat shield... Just an option, not trying to take business away from CTA (they're very nice to work with ).

Well the final CAI that D Davis is helping make has not been made yet so I don't know what it will look like. The CTA I am getting is from Brad (SQPlus) I figure I will help him out with his money troubles and help myself in the mean time.

at the contour national meet i saw this one...i don't remember who's it was, but i though he said he made it very easily out of a rubermaid trash can and just cut it in half or something, if we could find out and get a how-to on it, i would love to have a setup like this.
