I have some money to play around with and I'm looking into getting a bigger TB but what I want to know is there any other TB's out there other than SHO SHOP'S 63mm. I looked around and heard people are using 65mm but is it a bolt on or do you have to do some custom work. Any info will help thanks.

63mm is a bolt on, 65mm and 70mm require modifications and a way to control fuel enrichment.

Unless you have a highly modded SVT & A/F tuning capability I would not go any bigger then an optimized 60mm.

What's the difference between a stock SVT TB and an optimized one? Would a TB be the next logical step after getting an S-AFC, Superchip, & 80mm MAF?

Thanks!

I would optimize the stock TB.

Optimize = quite a few things to include:

Shave the rod in half, knife edge all front surfaces, countersunk screws, blend inner step down lip, etc...

I think some people showed HP losses with a TB or MAF that was too big.

They probably showed power losses due to not having any way to control the A/F ratio. Technology has came a long way my friend since this topic was discussed a few years ago.
