How much money does it cost?
$10.00 to race
$5.00 for spectators
One time tech fee $20.00 good for the year for all RMR events (if you only want to tech for the Midnight Drags it's only $10.00)
Don't whine we know you spent close to a thousand in tickets last year
What are the tech requirements?
Good tire condition
All lugs on wheels
Front windshield
Full exhaust(we are checking on sound level)
Fully functional brakes
Must have all car doors
What is it?
In a effort to reduce street racing, and give us street racers a safe place to race, SLCSR and RMR have teamed up. These Midnight Drags are setup to be as close to street racing as possible.
This means:
Race anyone you want. *Depending on IF they want to race you.
No points.
No eliminations.
No time display, just a win light. *Although you and your opponent will get time slips.
No slicks.
No open exhaust. *Remember this is street racing not a top fuel series.
You must tech in order to race. *So be sure to show up at 10:00pm if you need to get teched.
Imports and Domestics welcome.
Yes, race gas will be available for purchase.
What can I look forward to?
Race West Valley Police cars.
Our own "Flaggers" operating the tree.
The fastest street racer will hold the SLCSR title. *License plate cover that reads "SLCSR Champion"
We will get more Midnight Drags dates *Depending on the turn out, and cooperation with West Valley City.
What is my part of the bargain?
West Valley City has agreed to work with RMR if:
Street Racing in the valley stops.
No reckless driving near or around RMR during or after the event.
Obey all of RMR's Rules and Regulations.
The residents that live near RMR will have their eyes and ears pointed in RMR's direction. If, they complain we may get shut down, so if you don't have a muffler GET ONE.
Where is Rocky Mountain Raceways located?
Take the 5600 West exit off Highway 201 (2100 South) and head South to the Frontage Road, where you will turn right, following it all the way to RMR.
