As some of you already know, Delaware Motor Speedway holds the King of the Hill event a couple times of year. For those who don't, this is where people get to bring their streetcar onto the track and compete. Well, on Friday night I took the ol' Stique out for the run at the title. I didn't have a chance from the get go. They paired me up with a 2001 Mustang SVT with the Sean Hyland performance package (suspension, supercharger, and forged pistons, etc.). This was exciting never the less, just pounding on the car for a lap. I actually got close to him (with in a car length) going into turn three and soon lost him through four and onto the straight. I only lost by about three car lengths. I was quite happy with these results even though I didn't make it to another round. My brother thought it would be funny to race his 89' Pathfinder, so he did and won the first race against a Chev Pick-up with a 350. It was funny cause my brother would have never won if he hadn't cut the guy off going into turn one. This was all a big laugh and awesome excitement. I may do it again. Oh yeah, the winner (King of the Hill) ended up being a Prelude SRV with suspension and rubber/wheels mods. I think that the night's whole events should be televised some time within the next two weeks on Rogers Community Television. I'll let you guys know so you can watch and laugh. I was offered $50 from the Mustang SVT guy to tape it for him cause he lives out of town. Cha Ching!
