I was parked on Western's campus on thursday night by the business college, and my car was broken into. They used a spark plug to do it. They broke out my passenger front window and stole my cd's and my escort 7500 radar detector. They also stole my owners manual for the car. Nothing else was hurt except that it was raing all night and I didn't go back to my car till 10 the next morning. So the interior was a bit wet. I got that taken care of though. 2 cars next to me also got broken into. Insurance is covering it all , but it is a pain in the butt to get it all fixed. Keep an eye on your cars around Kalamazoo there is a lot of "thiefing" going on.

That's why you don't leave your stuff in plain sight.

None of it was in plain view. They were just breaking into the cars. The car next to me got broken into and nothing was stolen. My radar detector was under my seat. And the cd's were in the back seat. All the windows are tinted to, so they really couldn't see in that well.

Don't look at me... I was broken into three times at DOVER HILLS APARTMENTS... yes the nice ones. Pure and utter bull. Never leave my car out of my sights for longer than an hour or two now. And have old faithful if needed to break some heads (For those who met me, might have met my 'ole faithful') laugh

Hehehe I have some "protection aids" my self including Old Hickory and Blackie... Lets just say I was camping and this racoon got in my tent looking for food and he ended up being food for some birds... What a mess tho. But anyway, is there anyone who can recomend a car alarm, or place to buy one? It sounds like a damn good idea for out here, plus when I go home next week for a month my crazy ex gf would be dying to wreck my baby. She already got my bro's car since mine wasn't there in august, did over 1000$ worht of damage... So I need SOMETHING, preferably inexpensive, but I'd like 1 that goes off if my car gets touched... I'm petrified about being keyed and I have a 500$ deductable anyway...
