Allegedly 112 MPH, but I have never made an opportunity to check.

yup i've been able to verify several times...most recently 2 nites ago....it is a paltry 112
95 contour se...dark blue...monsterflow air filter...remanuf atx...wiring harness recall or bust!!!96k miles...motorcraft awsf32pp plugs & red ford racing 9mm wires...kvr black plated cross-drilled rotors & carbon fiber pads...currently undergoing renovation...excuse our dust!!!
are my dodgers for real????

it is usually tire dependant, a manufacturer cannot allow a vehicle to be capable of speeds higher than the factory tire is rated for.
Example, the Mustang GT in 99-01 that came originally w/ the 16" wheels had tires rated at 129mph (IIRC) so they were electronically limited to 125mph, where the GTs that came w/ 17" tires had much higher speed rated tires (149+) and they did not have electronic limiters.

Stephen[/b] I looked and did not see any chip! On an older post someone showed a pic of what the "super chip" looks like when installed and I saw no such thing there!  I've only hit what I think was the rev limiter once just after I bought the car but since then it has not stopped me! It may have been because I turned off the OD while racing, to try and get the advantage of higher rpm's! :rolleyes: I learned my lesson real quick!  It did not help me in the least! :p Perhaps there are internal mods that the prior owner has done! I'm not sure if the computer can be reprogramed for better performance. Stephen

I would prefer to film my tour but my video camera is not a digital type so that I could transfer the video to my computer!
