I have also heard I should replace the idler. The idler is what I think is going south on my car. I found it on Fordpartsonline.com for 9.67. The serpetine belt is listed at 29.95 on there as well. Are these pretty good prices?

Well seeing as I'm the only one here...

"Does anyone have a part number for this and/or the price?"
I'm sure someone does, so yes.

"Are these pretty good prices?"
Well they are slightly cheaper than list, but maybe Bill Jenkins could get you an even better deal?

on a side note I think I had the original assesory drive belt on my car until I changed the timing belt at 104k. The tensioner that went bad on me was the one for the timing belt

They sound good to me. I haven't gotten there yet so post a How-to with part numbers (since no one else knows them except you, now) when you get it done. Uh, how often should I do that? Every 50k?

Colter, the serp belt on my car is still stock. Its going to stay that way till I find where the oil leak is coming from. Right now the damn thing is so lubed up I could rotate the w/p pulley with the tiny wrench when I was taking the w/p's pulley off. shocked

Though everything was cleaned after I changed the w/p. Perhaps now would be a good time to see if I could find the leak? I try and try to figure out how I get oil on the drive belt but not the timing belt. It would have to go over that pulley to get to the crank pulley. confused
