Hope this gets answered before the plug gets pulled...

For you guys with a properly functioning tach, what RPM's do you turn at 70? After installing my indiglo's, I reset the needles (The gauges did NOT slip over the needles like some say they will). I set the speed by following behind my fiance at 70 (close enough for my use). The tach seems to be reading low. It shows 2500RPM at 70. What's everyone else got?

I'm not sure off hand but I'm sure it would be different for me that it would be for you.... because I have a MTX

Sure you don't have O/D OFF selected? Turning overdrive off doesn't let the engine rev over 3 grand. :p

I dont have an ATX but isn't it the other way around? Turning overdrive off gives it a higher rev line?

I could be wrong though!

It'll rev plenty over 3K if you push the pedal down far enough.

Depending at wich gear you're at will give you different RPMs. Also does your needle sit on the peg when the engine is not running? Where does it sit at idle?

Ok...remember that the needle has been taken off and put back on. Idle reads between 750 and 1000. This question (naturally) assumes that I'm cruising in top gear at 70. Prior to ever messing with the gauges, 70MPH read around 2800-2900. I'm just wanting to find out if that is close to what everyone else gets...
