I have a 96 GS 2.0 and the temp has been perfectly fine until now. My temp now is still in "normal" but getting close ro "hot". The major problem is that heat has been coming threw the floor vents on front drivers side. I'm worried about my car being to hot and I don't want to lose performance either. thanx for the help everyone! Also temp has been fluctuating from close to the red and then back down for a couple seconds and then back again. It heats up at idle and on the go.

zetecs normally run " hot " when at idle it will go up then when the car is moving it should go back down... you could change the thermostat just in case its faulty and change the temp sensor... my neddle stays between the A and L...
good luck
