it would not only be a PITA but you also need a new computer and shift linkage new tranny mounts to hold the tranny. and it won't be easy to find a computer that will work with that tranny and your non SVT Zetec. and as it has been talked about before if you want a MTX it is cheaper to trade in your ATX to buy one with it.

Yeah but it might be interesting for a MTX guy to try it. Switching to a 6 speed that is. wink

How about the SVTF engine and tranny. Would that work or just a complete wast of time.

Well it sounds really cool to have the 6 speed that the SVTF has. But not worth the cost, would be a great project for someone with more mony and time than I have.

The Getrag can't handle more than 200hp at the crank so you are better off with a beefed up MTX-75.

Yea I guess your right. But you have to admit the Getrag short throw 6speed sounds so sweet. And would be nice in our cars. So I guess you can't really mod out the SVTF because of the tranny wimping out at 200hp.

Joe,

You already have an MTX why would you need a PCM to switch from one MTX to another?
