There is a guy on ebay selling an electric supercharger for a 3in intake.. He says it will boost up to 240 cfm and 150 cfm under no load. Any ideas ...coments? I am by far not an expert on forced induction.

Do you have the link?
IIRC, it's a b.s. scam and I wouldn't waste my time on it until it was proven. my opinion.

those e-bay things are a scam, though the e-ram is supposed to work, or so says one reliable resource, a little more expensive than the fake stuff though.

The one on ebay is a total scam!
The real E-Ram does work.
I have a friend with one on his 96 Accord, and was dyno'ed and showed a 7 HP boost (at the wheels at WOT) over his current mods of Header, Intake, and Exhaust
Definately something I am going to install.

Well, if it's a real 7hp. bump, that's really not bad, considering an intake and exhaust will run about $450 or so (give or take, for demo purposes only) and you're lucky to get 10 HP out of that.

At least that is HP you can feel.

I don't know if any of you looked into the "electric supercharger" but I did. It's a plastic tube with a 12 volt, 240 cfm fan inside. It comes from the marine industry. It is used to vent the bilge on a boat. It was never made for this application, ever. Theoretically, it should work, and for $20 or $30 (what they go for in the boating industry) it's worth a try maybe. For any $$$ above that, RUN !! As long as they don't cause anything to come apart inside your engine a person may want to try one. I wouldn't.
