I read conflicting information in different places so will someone please help me clear this up?...
Can I buy and use the SVT style motor mount inserts in my 95 GL? If so, what all do I need from what year car to do this? (or will it not work since I have the zetec)? Is this something you should have a pro do? Anyone in here done it themselves?
Will the quaife work in a non V6 MTX?
Also, where is the PCV valve located on the zetec, the haynes is NO HELP at all...thanks.

IIRC the Pcv valve is under the exhaust manifold. No idea on the second question.

I believe that you can purchase and use the SVT motor mounts for a regular Duratec, but I've not heard of using them for the Zetec.

I think you use most of the inserts from a Duratec set on the Zetec. A search here in Zetec might get you specifics. The Quaife will also work. If I was told correctly, it was designed for the Zetec. You need to contact Terry Haines about both. I know he sells the Quaife and may be able to get you the correct inserts.

Technically it isn't a "motor mount", it's a tranny mount, the front tranny mount is the one in question and yes you can order one from various sources: FPO, SPMotorsparts, or your local Ford dealer; as it is a stock replacement item for an SVT. You will need to do one of the following things to make it work for your pre-98: If you get the new, lighter, shinier aluminum mount knock out the studs(hammer, bang it on concrete, ect..) and drill out the holes, or if you get the older, heavier, black cast iron mount(like i did  ) you can drill out the holes in the subframe slightly. The problem is that the bolts are a little closer together on the upgraded mount, and yes the ES inserts slip right in....and I'm spent!

There's no ES insert for the rear mount aka roll restrictor. 3M WindoWeld works well . If you want to use the front one, you need the buy the SVT mount and mod it slightly. There's a thread around here somewhere (General Mods maybe?) where it was discussed in the last day or two. I don't know if the rear mount or bracket is different or not. The Quaife was in fact designed for the Zetec MTX-75. I've got a copy of an email from Quaife UK to Terry that states that fact. IIRC, there is a How To entry in the FAQ (under Maintenance?) for the Zetec PCV replacement. See, us Duratec'ers aren't all bad.
