I figured it would, just wanted to let people know of another option instead of just the Accell coil. Thanks cool

ford uses a common connection for the coil pack so I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Just remember guys, the coil packs for the 2000's are way different than the coil packs for the older Contiques. The coil packs for the 95's and up use the same connection as the Escort/ZX2 for the wires. The 2000's (I'm pretty sure) use the ZX3 type connection.

actually mine has the same connection as showen in the picture where it clips onto the coil... I know hectors original coil didn't have thins and his is a 2000 but my 96 does.

Exactly how much would a new coil help me? Any1 know if accel or this brand is better?

I've heard of a few people having problems with their Accel coils, so thats why I decided to post this. This one says you can run a much bigger gap on your plugs, making more spark exposed to the air-fuel mixture. You cant ask for much horsepower from a coil, but mabye better starting, a smoother running engine.

I would say HP increase to be 0... but yes it will give you a smother running engine and if your current one is bad why not get one that is better than the stock one.
