... the custom CAI. I have a couple of questions:
1. Has anyone received a CEL after installing a CAI? If yes, what was the code for? 2. Could the engine be getting too much air or too much fuel? 3. How have you guys fixed the CEL?
OK heres what I am running-an air filter from AutoZone($20). If I got a different air filter do you think this CEL will go away?
Please ask if you have any questions.

Yes... for forgetting to plug the wires back into the MAF. That's the only case I've experienced.

never had a CEL from an intake but, I did have problems with my CTA staying on the TB till I got it set correctly which could of caused a CEL if it went long enough so I would say check all the connectors on the intake to make sure no air is getting in where it shouldn't and did you try to reset the computer? might be of more help with some more info as to the intake..

YES I reset the computer, Yes everything is tight, and NO there is not any other air getting in. I will try to get pics of the intake sometime when I have time.
TomServo98, the stumble may be caused by more fuel going into the engine and little air.

I had many CEL's after installing aftermarket air filters. I don't know the code, but it could be one of many different things. Try checking if your IAT(Intake Air Temperature) sensor is detached. Are you loosing power? Try resetting the computer by disconnecting the negative cable on your battery for about 5 mins or so and baby your car for next 10-15 miles so that it can relearn & adjust. Do what the other Contour member did & spray some electric solvent into your MAF & clean it out. Good Luck!!!!

The stumble I have is not "hard" but light and does not happen all the time. Just happens at light throttle, some of the time, as it goes from 1st to 2nd gear! Stephen
