Ok here's the deal im taking the head out of my car...i get all the stuff around the head off.. now all i need to do is the unbolt the head...but the problem is that i can't figure out how to get the exaust cam & gear.. off.. I took the intake side off with ease cause it only made since.. but the exaust side with that vct looks almost as if it's bolted on to the head.. the only bolt i can't reach with it on is the one closest to the driver front of the...the last bolt towards the drivers side.. So i don't know what i need to do to get it out..Im sure someone knows how to get it..If you do email me... PLEASE lilzetec@hotmail.com with some instructions mad

Your best bet is probably to hit Perry up. I think he even has pics of his engine with the crankcase cover off.

All's I have is pics w/ the cam cover off. Never removed the head or the cams. Even if I had, I have a 96 that doesn't have the VCT stuff.

You also have to remove the 2 brass colored bolts ont he cam gear sideof the ehad that are between the camgears. This allows the VCT solenoid to swing up so you can take the cam out of the head. Before you do that, remove the VCT cam gear if you are changing cams. Its much harder to take off when its out of the car.
