ok, im new at the whole custom ideas here, and i have figured out a custom dual exhaut set up and if you guys could help me, that would be great, i want to know if this will work. i want to get a dynamaxx high flowcat, and 2dynamaxx mufflers, with borla tips. but, i need the extra piping, from the heaer to the cat, no resanator, and i need some way to get a y extension or a single inlet double outlet high flow cat, then 3" piping hopefully. im gonna be ordering some 18" rims for the back and 17" for the front and tilt my car to see the custom duals, so its gotta be clean what do you guys think?

I don't know a whole lot about this, but I do know 3" piping is to much, 2 1/4 is the best for the Zetec, so I have heard from some other members... As far as the rest goes, you'll have to wait until someone that knows more about this replies.

Son, You're absolutely right. 2 1/4" piping is best for the Zetec. Anything more than that will probably cause you to lose horsepower--something our Zetec's really can't afford!

i agree 2 1/4 the way to go.......

as far as the rest of the set-up, once you find a shop to do the install, just get the pipe from them, that way they can bend it right then and there to make sure it fits......especially where the res is right now, there are a couple of off center bends.......not perfectly straight.......anyways, the hardest piece will be the new flex section, some shops might look at you like huh!? i think jcwhitney sells stainless flexes for like 50 bucks or so.......hope that helps!

I got 2.25" piping and I"m happy with it it gave me some good number with just that done.... and you will notice the difference with it over the 2" you would cause you to have too little back pressure with 3" pipe and that is not a good thing to have.
